Hit 50 perfect sourdough loaves and finally stopped feeling like a failure

I started baking sourdough back in January and the first 10 loaves were honestly pancake-flat disasters. I kept thinking I was just bad at it and almost quit twice. Then last Saturday I pulled loaf number 50 out of the oven and it had the best ear and crumb I have ever seen. Counting that number really surprised me because I never thought I would stick with it that long. It mattered because it showed me that practice actually works even when every earlier fail felt like proof I had no talent. Now I am way more patient with new recipes and I do not freak out over one bad batch. Has anyone else hit a random milestone like this and had it change how you see your own baking?

Man the jump from loaf 30 to 40 was wild for me too.

Buddy of mine tried jumping from 30 to 40 and spent three days on his couch regretting every life choice he ever made.
