Warning: the patio guy in Tucson who told me to check my footings before I lay pavers
He pointed at a hairline crack running along my neighbor's slab and said, 'That started as a 1/16 inch gap you could barely see.' Now I'm digging out 4 inches of base to check mine, so has anyone else caught a footing problem before the first freeze?
