Dropped $380 on a patio cover kit from the home store and I'm out there fighting it every weekend
I figured I'd save money doing the cover myself instead of paying a crew, and that kit looked simple enough in the picture. Three weekends in, the anchor holes don't line up with my slab and I've already chewed through two bits and a tube of caulk. My wife keeps asking when we can actually sit under it instead of looking at a pile of half bolted aluminum. Did any of you build one of these kits and get it to sit straight, or should I just eat the cost and hire it out?
