Stepping away from the engine bay to clear my head was a game changer
So last week I had this transmission that was giving me fits. I spent like three hours on it and nothing made sense. I was about to throw a wrench, honestly. Then I remembered someone saying to take a break. I walked out to the parking lot, just breathed for a bit. Came back in and bam, the solution was obvious. It's crazy how much a little mental space helps. I've started doing this every time I hit a wall. My work is smoother and I feel less stressed at the end of the day.

Take a walk for coffee, see it fresh.

But honestly, breaks just push the work later. If you step away every time you hit a snag, like @the_lisa's coffee walk idea, you're just avoiding the hard part. Sometimes you just have to power through the frustration to find the fix.
