I picked a reman engine over a junkyard pull and people thought I was crazy
Back in March my 2012 F-150 blew a rod outside of Tulsa, and every guy in the shop told me to grab a $1,200 junkyard motor with 140k on it. I went with a $3,800 reman from Jasper instead, figured a clean slate beats gambling on someone else's neglect. Yeah it took 3 weeks longer and cost more, but I've put 9,000 miles on it with zero oil burn or weird noises. Anyone else take the expensive route and end up glad they didn't listen to the crowd?
