Vent: my 12 year old stud welder quit mid rocker panel and I finished the pull with self tappers
Was welding studs on a rusted out rocker on a 2009 Silverado in my shop on Friday when the gun started cutting out after about 4 studs, so I grabbed the self tappers and got the slide hammer pull done anyway. Took me an extra 40 minutes and the panel came out a little wavy, good enough to skim with filler but not how I wanted to spend the afternoon. Anybody got a brand of stud welder that actually holds up past a year of daily use?
