The collision shop owner in Tucson who refused to shoot clear coat on my C4
I was doing a repair on a 1992 Vette at this shop off I-10 and the owner, Tony, stopped me mid spray. He made me strip the whole quarter panel because I was about to clear over old single stage without test feathering. I thought I knew better, he was right, the blend would have haunted me. Now I do a test card on every classic before I even touch the gun. Does anyone else still run into old school rules that just make sense?
