Debate: Is the new sushi spot in Inman Park actually better than that dive ramen place on Buford Highway?

I tried Umi last Friday and the $45 omakase was incredible but my buddy swears the $12 miso ramen at that run-down spot near the old plaza blows it away so which one's worth the trip for real?

Man, I've been burned by overpriced omakase before but that $45 sounds like a good deal for what you get. The ramen spot is probably just comfort food, not really a competition. Go with the omakase if you want quality, save the ramen for a hangover.

Last time I tried omakase at that price point my "chef" was a guy named Dave who handed me a piece of tuna like it was a hot dog at a gas station. If this place is legit though, I'd say skip the ramen and go for it. Worst case you get a funny story and a stomach ache, best case you actually get some quality fish without spending a whole paycheck.
