Debate: Is the MARTA weekend schedule cut worth the savings?

I lost $60 last Saturday waiting 35 minutes for a train at Lindbergh station. MARTA cut weekend frequencies to save money, but is it really worth it when people just drive instead? Some say longer waits are fine if it keeps fares low, but I wasted a whole afternoon. What do you all think, is the trade-off actually working or are we just losing riders over this?

Honestly its the same thing I see everywhere these days, cutting back on service just to save a few bucks but then people stop using it and the whole thing falls apart. @veraj53 said it makes the system hard to depend on and thats exactly it, once you cant count on a train showing up, you start looking for alternatives. The city keeps making these small cuts thinking it wont change anything but it adds up, and before you know it everyone is back in their cars making traffic worse. Ngl, I think they shouldve just raised fares a little instead of making the schedule this unreliable.

That thirty five minute wait is brutal. Makes the whole system hard to depend on.

That thirty five minute wait really is brutal, I know. I started prepping everything the night before and that cut my wait time almost in half.
