Tracked the ISS through my 6 inch Dob for 20 minutes, got one shot with actual detail, now I think it was luck
I chased the space station across the sky from my driveway in Reno three nights in a row and finally caught it at 40 degrees with my phone held to the eyepiece, and the solar panels showed up clean. Now I want to know if this was a fluke since I spent the other two nights getting nothing but orange blurs. Do you trust a one in three hit rate to call it a method, or does that just mean I got lucky with seeing and timing?
