Used to think deep cleaning my kitchen meant just wiping counters until a health scare changed everything last month
I spent years just doing a quick spray and wipe on my counters, never thinking about the little spots like the backsplash or the microwave handle. Then my kid got a stomach bug out of nowhere and the doctor asked if I sanitize my sink drain. I didn't even know that was a thing. Now I pull out all the small appliances and hit every crack with a disinfecting wipe every Sunday. Has anyone else found a specific spot they were totally missing but can't skip now?

Man I feel this hard. That handle on my microwave was basically a petri dish and I never once thought about it until my wife got sick a few months ago. Now I do a full wipe down of every handle and knob in the whole kitchen every week without fail.

The one thing that changed my cleaning game was getting a pack of those microfiber cloths (you know, the 24-pack from Amazon for like 12 bucks). I keep one under the kitchen sink and just do a quick spray and wipe every time I finish cooking. Also, I started doing the same for the fridge handle and the cabinet pulls and honestly it takes less than 2 minutes.

My buddy Jake actually got a nasty stomach bug last year and the doctor straight up asked him if he wiped down his phone. Nobody thinks about that one. I keep a microfiber cloth next to my nightstand now and hit my phone, my keyboard, and the remote before bed. It’s crazy how dirty those things get.
