Unpopular opinion: Paper planners beat digital calendars every time

I used to swear by Google Calendar for years. Switched back to a physical planner last March after my phone died during a shift change and I missed two appointments. Anyone else find the old way just works better for keeping track?

Caveman writing has a 100% uptime record, which is more than I can say for my phone battery. Digital calendars are great until your device decides to update itself right before a meeting with a inspector. At least with paper, the only thing that crashes is my handwriting when I'm rushing. Plus, paper doesn't delete everything when you drop it in a puddle, it just gets a little damp and creative.
