The scene where the villain monologues for 10 minutes straight - who edited this?

I was watching this new mecha anime last night and the bad guy stopped mid fight to explain his entire backstory. Had to skip ahead after 3 minutes because I was losing my mind - has anyone else noticed pacing getting THIS bad lately?

that's such a typical modern thing though, we're all just skipping through stuff we don't immediately like. @terry677 I get where you're coming from but sometimes you just need a mental break from intense content, it's like how people scroll past slow parts of movies now too.

Respectfully, I disagree with muting it, I find that part actually adds a lot to the experience.
