I finally gave in and watched that 'cute girls doing cute things' show everyone kept talking about
For years, I thought shows like 'K-On!' were just boring and had no plot. My friend in Seattle kept telling me to try it, saying it was about the feeling, not the story. I watched the first three episodes last month and felt nothing. Then, in episode four, there's this quiet scene where they just drink tea and look at the sky, and it hit me. It's not about what happens, it's about the mood it makes. Has anyone else had a show they wrote off completely change their mind like that?

Glad it clicked for you, but honestly I still don't get the appeal. Tried K-On a while back and those quiet scenes just felt like dead air to me. I need something to actually happen, some kind of story to follow, or I just get bored. Maybe my brain is just wired differently for shows.

Totally feel that, had the same thing happen with me and Yuru Camp. Just people sitting around a fire, my brain checked out after five minutes.

@james_campbell12 So do you need constant action or just a clear plot? Cuz I've seen people who can't do slow stuff but love dialogue-heavy shows.
