TIL I've run over 10,000 feet of wire this month alone

I was adding up my invoices from the last few weeks and the total wire length just floored me. It's mostly from a big retrofit job on a strip mall where every single sensor needed a new run. I mean, my forearms are feeling it, idk about you guys. Anyone else ever get surprised by a number like that when you actually stop and add it all up?

Honestly, is 10,000 feet even that much? That's less than two miles. For a whole month on a big job, that number seems pretty low. I've done single days pulling over a thousand feet for data drops in an office. Maybe you're counting it wrong or the job was mostly short runs.

Ever wonder how many miles of wire are just hiding in the walls of a normal building? That's a crazy amount of pulling. My back hurts just thinking about it.

Come on, it's just wire! My back hurts way more from hauling rolls of vinyl all day.
