Back in the day we ran most of our wire before drywall went up, but this old house off Camp Bowie had plaster walls and a crawl space full of old knob and tube. Two guys from a local shop met me there at 7am with a fish tape and a flex bit, and we had all 8 runs pulled and labeled before lunch. My knees still hurt from that attic, but watching a plan come together that fast reminded me why I got into this. Feels like every new build now is wireless sensors and phone apps, so a full hardwired job with good help hits different. Any of you still get calls for full wired installs on old houses, or is that pretty much gone in your area?
