Pro tip: The old way we did composite repairs versus the new stuff is night and day.

We had a 737-800 come in with a damaged fairing about five years ago. The old repair manual called for a 24-hour cure at 70 degrees, which was a pain in our hangar in Denver. Now, with the new pre-preg materials and a portable oven, we can do a stronger patch in under 4 hours. Has anyone else made the switch and seen a big drop in turnaround time?

Nah, the old way was more reliable. New stuff feels rushed and corners get cut.

But brooke767, what about all the old stuff that broke down constantly?

Remember how often you had to fix those old things though? My dad's truck was always in the shop, and our old TV needed a smack to work right. They broke down just as much, you just forget the hassle.
