A ramper in Tulsa handed me a fuel cap with the chain gone and I almost signed it off
I was doing a quick turn on a 737 in Tulsa last month and the ramper walked up with the left wing fuel cap, saying it popped loose during pushback. The cap chain was snapped clean off, so I grabbed a new cap from stores and checked the tank for FOD before I'd even think about releasing it. What's your go-to move when a fuel cap shows up loose and you can't tell if the chain failed or somebody forgot to latch it?
