TIL a tiny grocer in Portland runs their veggies through an AI sorter
Stopped at a local market on the way home and noticed a small box by the produce that flags bruised apples before they hit the shelf. Asked the owner, he said it cut their daily waste from 12 pounds to about 3 in six months. Anyone else seeing little retailers doing this without the big warehouse setups?
