The guy at the Columbus dog park told my chatbot was 'cheating at fetch' and I haven't stopped laughing since
Last month I brought my rescue mutt Rufus to the dog park in Columbus, and this older dude named Gary started chatting me up about AI apps while our dogs sniffed each other. I showed him this new AI dog behavior tracker I had just downloaded, and he squinted at my phone for a solid 30 seconds. Then he says, 'So your phone is gonna tell you when my dog is happy? Feels like cheating at fetch.' I tried explaining the computer vision model that reads tail angles and barks, and he just nods and says, 'Rufus already tells you that for free.' Honestly he had a point, since the app gave me a 'high stress' alert while Rufus was mid-zoomies having the time of his life. Now I keep the app open mostly to see what nonsense it flags next. Anyone else have a pet tech story where the algorithm was dead wrong?
