Serious question, my AI chatbot answered 47 questions in a row before it forgot what I said first
I was testing a new chat model last week and kept asking it follow up stuff about my sourdough starter, and it nailed 47 answers before it suddenly thought I was talking about cars. The weird part is that number, 47, is almost exactly how many messages I can hold in my head during a real conversation before I lose the thread too. So now I am wondering if that limit is a tech thing or just a human thing we copied. Anyone else notice a point where the replies start drifting, or is it just me?
Kind of wild that the number lines up so close, but a chatbot does not get tired or distracted like we do, so its drift is probably a memory cap in the code, not some shared brain limit. Our version is more about attention fading, which is a totally different thing even if the count looks the same.
