I finally gave up on that AI writing assistant after it messed up a client pitch
Last Thursday I was putting together a proposal for a small business client, and I thought I'd use that AI writing tool I signed up for last month to help with the intro paragraph. It kept spitting out these flowery sentences that sounded nothing like how I talk, and every time I tried to tweak the prompt it just got worse. After about 45 minutes of fighting with it, I ended up deleting everything and just writing it myself in 10 minutes flat. The weird part was the AI added a fake statistic about local market growth that wasn't even close to reality. I cancelled my subscription right after that meeting because I realized it was slowing me down more than helping. Has anyone else run into a situation where an AI tool made more work for you than it saved?
