Overheard a guy at the trails say lockers are overrated and I had to bite my tongue

Honestly, I was airing down at Bald Mountain last weekend and this dude in a stock Tacoma starts going off about how selectable lockers are just for show. Said he's never needed them in 10 years of wheeling. I mean sure, you can get by with a good line and some momentum, but after getting stuck in a wet clay hole 6 months ago with open diffs, I'd never go back. Has anyone else run into people who think lockers are a waste?

Every locker hater's never wheeled wet clay.

Kinda funny how heated this gets. @wesley385 might have a point about clay, but honestly half the trail rigs I see with lockers never even engage them. They just like having the switch. Stock Tacoma guy probably got through the same stuff you did, just slower and with more wheel spin. Different setups for different folks, no need to make it a fight.
