Last year my friend from the mormon church I go to was diagnosed with breast cancer. It was so heartbreaking and an expensive ordeal for the family too. They didn’t know how they were going to afford the bills, but our mormon church friends really pulled together and started a fundraiser. We organized a concert along with a silent auction to raise money for their family. Unfortunately, my friend died before she got to see this show of support, but she was grateful for everything that was done so far.
