America has spoken with a loud voice, we are in a new era.  Many people never thought an African-American would be in the White House, but that time has come.  With Barack Obama winning the presidency with a large margin, Americans have elected to bridge the racial divide that has crippled our country since its creation.  All races elected Obama into the White House, so all of America has taken a step forward.

Support for Obama has be greater than any candidate in recent memory.  Election night looked more like a New Year’s Eve party in Times Square.  Events in most major cities had the energy of a tailgate party or Independence Day events.  People were holding handmade signs in support and wearing Obama T-Shirts emblazoned with messages of change.

What an exciting time in our history.  We were there for the event that marked a pivotal change in our nations healing of the racial divides.  Today we can say that we live up to the words of our founding fathers, “All people are endowed by their creator certain unalienable rights!”
