There are plenty of things that I have never known much about and never cared to.  One of those things is concrete spalling.  After doing some research I realized that my basement has been victim of this very thing.  Apparently there was some sort of fire down there years ago before we bought the house, which has led to this spalling.  The water vapor pressure built up so rapidly which led to this whole thing.  Because it was a high performance concrete my house now stands in the balance.  We are trying to do everything we can to maintain structural integrity.
