What to do if You Are Involved in an Accident with a Taxi

Minnesota taxi cab companies are required to carry car insurance on their cabs. In addition, taxi drivers must complete a taxi driver training course.  Minnesota taxi cab drivers are liable for injuries they cause to passengers, pedestrians, bicyclists or other drivers. If you are involved in an accident with a taxi cab or are a passenger in a taxi and are injured as a result of the taxi driver’s negligence it is important to document as much information.  You need the driver’s name, taxi cab registration number, taxi cab company name and names of any witnesses.

You should call the police so an official accident report is completed which will help provide documentation and information of the taxi cab driver and company.  Contact your Carver County Personal Injury Attorney if you need more details.
