Poetry Night
Poetry readings were a blend of typical and atypical from your point of view. As you may expect, a line of single serve coffee makers were on the island loaded up with the latest and most unusual brews. It also had a combination of tables and bean bags for listeners and writers. But the poetry nights were an eclectic mix of avante garde personalities with cowboy poets. And they actually stayed around and listened to each other. Sometimes they blended in styles to produce some really wicked results. All of this out of a coffee house in Southeastern Colorado. That certainly was something you would never think of.
