Almost everyone knows that one of the best investments you can make is to buy real estate. They way most people do this is to buy either a condo or a home for the purpose of generating a rental income.  But if you are looking in Toronto you may find that homes are very expensive and unless you have a substantial down payment your rental income could barely cover your costs.  One alternative is to buy Ajax real estate which is just west of Toronto.  Home prices are a little cheaper however the rental rates are similar.  Also the increase in value of Ajax homes has been increasing at almost the same rate as Toronto homes are.
