Dogs are omnivores

Dogs are omnivores that means by definition that they are animals which can feed on both plants and animals. So your dog is a carnivore, scavenger, hunter, vegetarian and opportunist at the same time. That information should, by only using common sense, lead to the conclusion that their diet has to consist of meat, bones, vegetables and fruit in order to maintain a good health and it also means that your dog can eat pretty much anything as long as it is unprocessed and not filled with the usual chemicals put nowadays in commercial dog food. By anything I still mean mostly bones, meat, fruit and vegetables. Not leftovers and the reason for that is that our dogs are not made to eat cooked food especially not ours with all the spices, sugar and salt. Yes, your dog will eat your leftovers happily and not get sick straight away but you will do long term damage!
