What is Diabetic Foot?

The diabetic foot is defined as the foot being affected with diabetes. The foot being involved is the foot that is put at increased risk for complications by the pathophysiological processes of diabetes. In diabetes, the nerve damage in the legs mean that any damage to the foot is not felt. One of the causes of damage is when the circulation is being affected in diabetes, which means when damage happens to the foot, the healing is poor and there is less circulation that leads to a great damage. Diabetes also affects the collagen in the ligaments, so the joints are stiffer in those with diabetes. Those with diabetes also tend to be heavier, which also puts the foot at increased risk for damage. On the other way around, it also affects the eyes, which mean when there is damage to the foot; they can not inspect it to look after it. For now, better prevent yourself from diabetes.
