How We Expanded the Family Business

My husband inherited a fairly large distribution center from his father, and after our son graduated with a degree in business administration he joined the family business. They decided to expand operations, but they wanted to do it in the most frugal way possible. Instead of buying everything brand new, they found used forklifts for sale. They found a nearby space for lease and took that over. Instead of hiring all brand new employees they first offered overtime to all of the current employees who were interested. Many of them were interested and they only had to hire four new employees.
